Cove lighting, fancy pendant lights, fabric-sandwiched-glass textures, artworks, false ceilings, cantilevered fixed furniture, geometric patterns... coalesce to imbue the home with strong design elements; simultaneously, amplifying spaces.

With almost all lighting being indirect, mostly cove lighting behind floating false ceiling panels, the lighting solutions augment both - spaciousness and the style quotient of the home.

A 3-D wall light fixture becomes the cynosure of all eyes in the all-white, contemporary living area, while a white crystalline centre table base effects an ephemeral quality; warmth is infused via 2.7K (warm white LED).

In sharp contrast, earthy shades of brown and beige tones dominate the classic wood ambience of the dining area coupled with 4K (cool white LED) that brightens up the space, eschewing a compact feel; thereby articulating the architects’ diligence in seamlessly blending the two differently-handled areas.

Niches are lit up; shelves are back-lit whilst strip lighting, pendants, spotlights and up-lighters add drama. A spherical light installation in the guest suite, yellow strip lighting, back-lit headboard; back-lit onyx in the puja room play on the mood vying for attention with natural light flooding the home and chiaroscuro elements softening sunlight, encouraged by pergolas with closely fitted slats and louvered partitions.

Added to this, a generous dose of textures and material heightens the way this home is experienced especially contributing to its clean lines, uncluttered ambience and elements of quirk viz., the dining table base, wood and glass bench in the entrance foyer, parasol-like rectilinear glass and concrete shade on the terrace etc.
