Vistaar Associates designs an apartment as a vivid documentary of the client’s life - in line with his stature, without overwhelming any visitor with the extensive art collection.
What does a designer do when her septuagenarian client wants to carry almost everything he has painstakingly collected over the span of his lifetime - from his 8600 sq. ft. former residence to a new space literally half the size?!

Designers at Vistaar Associates accomplish this feat for a high-profile client - extremely well read, widely travelled, passionate about art and owner of an extensive collection of priceless artefacts.
Located on the 21st floor of a 23-storied upmarket building facing the botanical gardens in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, the apartment boasts of three bedrooms, a study, living cum dining area, kitchen, servant’s room and balconies on two sides. The gardens are a large expanse of greenery in the surrounding areas, and the designers have leveraged their design by ensuring cross ventilation, abundant natural light and an expansive view. This allows the positive energy of the surroundings to permeate all through.

The design is based on clean elegant lines to give a feeling of understated affluence. However, the material palette makes way for the future by enabling the younger generation to inhabit the space and restyle it as per their interests and tastes. Vietnam marble and block Italian inlay flooring complement the mix of Duco finishes and veneers, creating an aura of restraint and old-time elegance.

While many designers work with clients to understand their needs and requirements, Vistaar Associates seem to have levelled up not only to incorporate livability, but also document pieces of art and sculpture from the homeowner’s collection, positioning them at vantage points, for the best visual impact.
Here, the client’s current needs are woven intrinsically to highlight his passionate past: in the form of collectibles or memoirs or photographs, showcasing a life well lived.
