Designed
by SM Studio, this weekend getaway amidst lush green expanses of the hilly
terrain of Lonavala, effectively blurs the boundaries between inside and
outside.
The
structure plays with the element of three-dimensional space and form, with the
double-height living and dining space becoming the focal loci of the home.
Conceptualised on minimal lines, the double-height lends a feeling of being grandiose,
whilst the interior treatment keeps the ambience understated and chic. The
interior vocabulary develops amid luxurious comfort, with a rich, sophisticated
material and colour palette, complete with theatre and activity rooms and a jacuzzi
on the terrace!
The
massing configuration follows strict geometry and defined proportions; and
apart from linking the exterior and interior, it efficiently provides the
necessary shading hours, despite the open facades receiving abundant sunlight
throughout the day.
The
exterior colour palette of green and white, with the pool extending outward on
the first floor above the entrance foyer, sits in harmony with the natural
surroundings. This 7000sq. ft. abode offering unrestricted vistas of lush greenery,
with luxury within, does become the perfect getaway to blow-off city stress!
