Ansa Interior Designers create a mellifluous design vocab that asserts with familiarity; but is distinctive in the milieu of expected luxury in a two-tier city, Pipariya in Madhya Pradesh...

The designers use a chic modern design approach to chisel this plush 3500 sq. ft. home but resort to a tried-and-tested methodology with a calculated touch of vibrancy and attention to details against a neutral backdrop.

So we have varying shades of crème and brown adorning the walls, floors and in soft furnishings with subtle play on solids vs. patterns, soft-pedal as well as bold; and an effortless play of subdued wallpapers and resolute jali cut-work/CNC cutwork with leather-panelled / hazelnut glass-panelled walls. Wide French windows, wall-wrapping painting, wall-to-wall wardrobes, ‘Island’ breakfast counter, and the range of furniture and accessories further describe the contemporary design language.

Often, the designer dons the role of facilitator, especially so, when the status of the home and that of its occupants is projected at an existential high; in this case too, the designer does this via meeting the client’s aspirations and perhaps even going beyond them; but, discreetly keeping the scenario understated and in control.

He uses a fusion of Indian and Middle Eastern styles and a rich collection of ethnic elements to adorn the spacious confines of the home. While a liberal spread of white adds serenity to the ambience, a sprinkling of colours – hues of green in the bedroom and kitchen, burnt orange in a work of art and burgundy, teal blue and sunny yellow in throw cushions distract and engage. Lambent chandeliers vie for attention and aid mood play with cove lighting solutions. But, it’s the marvellous candle-lit niches of the Mandir, which add movement to an otherwise quiet area and lends the ultimate stroke in the blend of conventional and modern.

An up-to-the-minute contemporary home, endowed with warmth, end-to-end.
